    newbie saying hello

Welcome, I spent a lot of time in dundee. I was stationed at Raf Edzell 94-97. Miss Scotland and hope to be back soon for our 20th reunion which is next year. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

2 Brothers Exhaust... What the difference ?

The block off plates cap off the air intake system inlets that have to be removed. The ais I believe helps burn unspent gas as part of emissions (cat is removed since it's part of stock exhaust). Not needed once stock exhaust is removed. There will be noticeable popping and flames if you don't...

If it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid.

To be honest I seem to remember someone else saying the same thing happened. Not sure the reason or outcome. Think it may have been after a service visit or something similar. Perhaps that bolt has a tendency to loosen with time. Gonna check mine regardless. LOL Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A...

If it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid.

Wow, that's all I can say. LOL! Just kidding great job at improvising. I have my toolkit, but don't carry around nuts and bolts. Guess what I'm doing this week? Riding season has gotten off to a slow start here in PA due to lots and lots of rain and cooler Temps. I've been out, but too cool in...

Which oil filter are you using?

K&N 204 is a good filter. Ran those since taking the stock off. They are pricey, but if you don't change you oil 10 times a year it's not a problem. If you are putting massive miles I'd find a lower priced alternative that is still within specs, but otherwise the 204 is easier to change and...

Which oil filter are you using?

Agree completely.Tried a wrench I had for my truck or car (don't remember which) and didn't have the clearance to use it. For the 6r you need a cap wrench which attaches to your wrench. I didn't feel like running out and buying one so I used a screwdriver to remove my stick one (way over...

Bought a FZ6R, some noob questions

Use the wd40 to clean your chain, not lube it. Use a lube designed for oring chain lubrication. There are sprays, waxes and regular oil type lubes. Lots of suggestions on here for lube types. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Lowering your front end (triple tree)

Woodcraft 1.5" rise 41mm. Don't need clip-ons to drop your forks. Can lower the forks to see if you like it. I had my stick bars rolled back to lower them a bit before I changed to clip-ons. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Lowering your front end (triple tree)

Mines lowered 1.7 inches with zero issues at any speed (have clip-ons). Have done slow speed drills and plenty of riding at higher speeds on straights and curves. Had mine lowered for 2+ years. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    An idiot own me money.

I'm guessing if it's oily near the exhaust or engine it could possibly ignite with the high heat. If it ignites, the bike's tank will likely explode taking out the wall it's parked near. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Can someone help me .... Mirrors fz6r

Those are Zx6r mirrors, not sure of the age range. I didn't like that style on the 6r. Bad visibility and awkward mounting angle for our bikes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    Woodcraft clip on handlebar mod

I have 05-08 Zx6r mirrors (not oem). Oem Zx6r mirrors would be much more expensive. Very good visibility Imo, only 2nd in visibility to stock which look hideous. EBay or Amazon are great placeso to find them. Mine are carbon fiber (well they look like cf). Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using...

    Help buying used FZ6R

You live in Oz with warm year round Temps? Riding here varies from state to state, but riding season is usually from April through September. Of course there's exceptions like warm Springs and late fall and states like California and Florida among a few other that can ride year round. My best...

What did you do to your bike today?

No need for an auto tuner. Just download Marthy's maps. He talked me out of an auto tuner. My recommendation is Marthy's adv gear rev b Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    Rod knock?

AIS- Air Intake System. As leem said it's the part that you remove when putting block off plates on.
