No the Ninja is as is left the dealer. We rode a steady 100kph/60mph each day and the oil was abosultely black in the Ninja when we got home. It's revving pretty high all day long. The oil was fresh before we left.
My wife is not confident enough to ride my FZ6R, if she were I might look at...
Last summer my wife (Ninja 250) and I (FZ6R) did a tour of northern Ontario from Mississauga, Ontario.
Day 1 Hwy 27 to Hwy 400 @Barrie to Parry Sound.
Day 2 Hwy 69 to Hwy 522 (we took a side trip thru the Magnetawan Indian reserve, very desolate, nice hwy) , to HWY 11 south to Sundridge then...
The more preload you add, the sharper the bike will turn. Raising the rear causes the fork angle to steepen up. The FZ6R is a pretty slow steering bike to begin with, not sure if full preload would cause tankslappers (bars wiggling at speed)
A Raven one, but it looks black to me. I got it last weekend from Envy and rode up to the Forks of the Credit on Sunday from south Mississauga. A little cold on the hands, but otherwise a nice ride.
Heated grips are next. Looks like it will stay parked this weekend due to the weather.
What dealer did you purchase it from. I recently bought one at Envy rides, same bike, they had a black FZ6R on the floor that had been lowered, wondered if it was yours.
I guess if I got a hold of a wiring diagram, I might find a spare switched lead. I guess I'll go ahead and wire in a relay.
I saw this setup, but I can't really think of any other accesories I'd add to the bike to warrant it. I plan to add a 12 volt outlet, but I want that powered all the...
Has anyone found an unused ignition switched power lead on the bike? My last bike, an 06 V-Strom had an unused lead under the tank for heated grips.
I wanted a switched source, not a direct battery hookup. I also would prefer not to get involved wiring a relay unless I really need to...
higher octane = more power is a huge myth, unless your bike is detonating (pinging) or you have increased the compression ratio, you are wasting your money
sorry, if you think it's making more power it's your imagination

bicycle shorts under your jeans or riding pants makes a big difference on a long ride, I am talking about the spandex or lycra skin tight type shorts cyclists wear
