Flipped the bars around and much better suited to my 6+ft frame. Feels like a bigger bike.

Piks of my 2.5" tip with internal cone and 1.5" hole added to reduce resonance. The wife is still looking for her nice stainless steel measuring cup...he... he... he. Would have had the same result just going with a 2" tip. Still to wrap fibreglass exhaust mat around the cone to stop...

Trust me, just buy a 2" exhaust tip, cut a 2"hole and weld it on. Recommend you protrude the 2" pipe into the chamber. You can always go larger, hard to go smaller.

Just the stock exhaust shits me and expensive to modify. It's a learner bike boys and girls the rest is to be expected. btw - How the hell are you all hitting the horn???? It's completely out of the way.

NO, the ECU is adjusting fuel all the time and will correct for things like exhaust pressure. The only thing an exhaust will change is the efficiency of the exhaust flow coming out of the head. Back-pressure is just a bad way of explaining that you want the most uniform flow of air coming out...

After the disappointing resonance I was getting from the 2.5" tip mod, I put an exhaust baffle inside the 2.5" tip with a 1.5" centre hole. The result is much better. Retains the deeper note and most of the annoying resonance is gone. Still some annoying grumble-popping during over-run but not...

Did the mod yesterday. 2.5" pipe. Cut away original small diameter pipe to approx. 4" inside the exhaust box. The result - pretty poor if you ask me. There is definitely a lot of resonance going on. This is where the airflow actually pulses in and out of the exhaust, between firing events...
