Does anyone know if my bike will blow up with an aftermarket exhaust if I don't add a fuel controller?? Also, I bought a 2011 model exhaust and am worried about modding it for my 2009....suggestions?
That is a nice kit for sure, and I agree that I like the idea of the stock signals, as they are nice and visible.
My issue may be my saddle bags with those stock signals sticking out back under the seat like that....thoughts???
It is the Driven 520 Part Number 35498, so yes you have the correct sprocket for the +1. And no, you do not need a new chain to go with this sprocket.
Good choice to go for this. It is easy to install and you will like the results!!
First of all, THANK YOU! pickles for doing these calculations...extremely informative (and I enjoy this stuff being an aeronautical engineer myslef).
After reading all of these posts and looking over the info, here is what I summarize.
Regardless of the gearing combination we are talking...
Was very intrigued by this, and my wife is always behind added bike safety even if it may only be somewhat "precieved" safety. Was going to wait until the back log on these went away, but now thinking I may just go ahead and drop the hammer on it. Anyone that ordered one recently have an...

I didnt read through everything, but I have done a TON of research on this myself as well. I have used exclusively the Rotella T 5W-40 full synthetic as the culmination of my research. The shearing protection was one of the biggest selling points, and the fact that it is one of teh very few...
Just about 6300 miles so far, but most proud of the 1207 miles I did in three days on a trip to Deals Gap and back. 1 day up to the smokey mountains, I full day of riding the Tail of the Dragon and several other sweet (and gorgeous) routes, and 1 day home! Now THAT is whay I call maximizing a...
Just discovered this section, so figured I'd tell my sob story. Pulled into work after owning the bike only a few months. Of course several of the guys come out as I pull up (thanks to 2 bros) to check out the new ride. Being a noob I take my time after I shut down to remove golves, helmet...
