Not sure if the 99 to 02 headers are a direct fit. I didn't remove the rear foot peg, i ran the pipe underneath.

I'm relatively sure that he wouldn't be asking about fitment and balance issues if he already had the TBR exhaust. So lets assume for a moment that his exhaust is stock, perhaps a modified exhaust with an R6 header MIGHT be a little louder. :banghead:

No balance issues at all, and it's definitely something the average Joe can do. Go for it, your ears will thank you. :thumbup:

I had to heat them up and bend them a little bit, just so they wouldn't touch the oil pan.

03-05 R6 headers WILL fit.

I'm gonna try one get one up tomorrow, the combination of crappy weather, work, and this never ending cold I've had is slowing me down. lol

I'm probably gonna switch to a GP style exhaust next year, but im sure someone will have done one by then.

It started immediately after install. I'll try disconnecting the battery and see if that helps. Thanks:thumbup:

I'm getting a lot of popping from the exhaust on deceleration. That usually indicates a lean condition.

Is yours running lean? Mine definitely is, looks like a power commander in my future.

I had to cut down the mid pipe, and drill a hole into the rear set to mount the muffler hanger. If I had gone with a GP style short exhaust it would have made the install even easier.

I just finished installing it so i only took it for a short ride but it sounds great. I'll let you know how it runs when i get a longer ride in.

Well it's finally done.:steve: I went with an older style can, I thought it might balance the bike out a bit seeing as the front seems disproportionately large compared to the back. Although now that i see the finished product, i wish i had gone with a smaller can. Oh well the total cost of the...
