    FZ6R upgrade?

I've definitely heard some mixed reports regarding vibration on the N1K, but... most people seem to indicate that it kicks in around 6k RPM. From my point of view, if I'm in the upper half or third of the rev range, that's because I'm trying to go fast, and in that case I don't mind a little bit...

    FZ6R upgrade?

Well, in terms of the FZ6R, I would say that depends where you do your riding. I would go so far as to say that it's nearly completely without vibration up until around 5k RPM, but around 6k it starts to buzz pretty badly. With the default gearing that means you're hitting it at around 70-75...

    FZ6R upgrade?

Hey guys, just thought I'd give a quick update. I went to the American International Motorcycle Expo in Orlando: AIMExpo While there, I had the opportunity to test ride an FZ09 and an FZ8, although unfortunately they did not have an FZ1 for test riding (which was a shame because I'm really...

Looking at the 6R for long distance touring

I've owned my FZ6R for about a year, and it's definitely not a bad bike especially for street riding where it's smooth as butter. But... the engine has a little bit of a buzz to it around 6,000rpm that isn't particularly comfortable, and that's about where you'll be while doing highway speeds...

    FZ6R upgrade?

I really appreciate the offer but I'm about 300 miles from West Palm. I'm definitely going to try to hit up that Orlando expo though, that sounds pretty awesome!

    FZ6R upgrade?

A test ride would be amazing, I hope I can make it out to one of those! It's really the most irritating thing about buying a motorcycle. If I had been able to test ride the VFR then I would've saved myself some time and money.

    FZ6R upgrade?

I prefer the headlight on the FZ09, but the general curvature from the back of the seat to the end of the gas tank feels too smooth and too much like a dirt bike. Just my opinion!

    FZ6R upgrade?

My problem with the smaller streetfighter bikes is that I feel like they'd be too small for me. I've seen tall people on a Street Triple and it seems a little awkward. But I'll check out the FZ-09 in the local shop for sure.

    FZ6R upgrade?

I will have to take a look at an FZ09 in person then, because to me the look is pretty in appealing, kind of a dirt bike look to the curves of it. Which is odd, because I like both the FZ1 and FZ8.

    FZ6R upgrade?

Hey guys! So, let me give a little background. I own an FZ6R now, but before that I also owned an R6 and a CBR1000RR. I picked up the FZ6R because I'd had enough of the crappy posture (I'm 6'3") and wasn't so keen on going super fast anymore. Unfortunately, I eventually got the itch and...

Should I get a FZ6R as my first bike?

Don't do it! A car is much more useful and a cheap one probably isn't that much more expensive. Get the car, drive it around, get used to the road and save the riding until you're 21. You also need to consider your local area. Places with a lot of traffic are really never good candidates for...

Probably not riding my supersport again

Decent gas mileage is one of very few ways that I can justify riding the bike all over the place!

Probably not riding my supersport again

That's good to know, but I'm definitely going to marinate with the FZ6R for at least a couple of years. I like the gas mileage and I'm not unhappy with the power or suspension.

Probably not riding my supersport again

A month or two ago I posted about how I was thinking about picking up an FZ6R as a more street-friendly bike to go along with my Honda CBR1000RR. I went on ahead and bought a brand new 2012 FZ6R from the local dealership, and I've put about 950 miles on it since then. Basically, I think I'm...

New 2012 Motorcycle Consumers News Performance Index

I never rode the FZ6, and only recently purchased the FZ6R, so I can't make a direct comparison. I can say that I have yet to feel like I don't have the power I need from the ~65 HP from the FZ6R engine when I'm getting around town. As an owner of a CBR1000RR, I can say with some confidence that...
