Could be just the Aussie bike. But after removing the Aus 1/4 turn throttle restriction (yes, Australian bikes are restricted. No US bikes are not. Yes you just bent to tag out of the way to derestrict.) I found the throttle roll on to be very long. Only been out on the bike once since the swap...
That's quite an oxymoron. You want someone else to tell you how to personalise your bike and make it your own? Hmmm. Take all the stickers off. Put fz1 bars on. Shorty leavers. Lower the front end. Put a ixil dual hyperlow exhaust on it. LED intergrated taillight. Flush mount front LED...
Got pics? Are they standard bars? Undo clamps roll them forward. If they are the standard bars there should be heaps of room. I have FZ1 bars which are a lot lower and i have zero issues with them touching anywhere.

Go to google and type in "fz6r woodcraft cilp ons" the very first result will be a thread on here where all your questions and more will be answered by Scott_Thomas.
Also google "Fz1 Handlebars=Agressive OEM Fit" heaps of good info on bar swaps in that one too.
The search on here sucks...
