I been using maxima synblend 10/40 oil in my FZ6R for a long time 30,695 miles. My shifting is always smooth and oil looks good coming out as it did going in. Last oil change I added lucas oil stabilizer (motorcycle specific) and I like it 
engine is quite and shifting is a bit better. Before I used MOBIL 1 racing 4t and like all other oils I tried around 2,500 into the oil my shifting was "sticky" during up and down shifts as well as valve noise. If u haven't tried maxima oil u should cuz I have just over 30,000 miles to prove it works and I ride my yami hard on palomar. I've used their premium oil (conventional) and synblend with no problems.
