Are you on the finance side or manufacturing side?
Our company is in the middle of a 5-year-change-over to SAP. My advice: Take a loaded gun, point it at your head,... you know. Much less painful that way.

our system has been in place for years...i think they have overcomplicated some of it...

I have finance experience, not manufacturing yet. Our systems are currently transferring to SAP manufacture side. Its suppose to be more of a hassle then our current system.
Just general knoweldge right now plus any tips or tricks.... Started an new job in december, first time I have ever used it and it is way more complicated than my last system...
It's easy when you start using it and understand what it's trying to doo, it's just so intricate that it would be hard for me to lay down tips and tricks for you here.
One suggestion, learn the t-codes, don't just set everything up as a favorite.
Other then that, google is helpful, I am considered an SAP expert at work and lead all integration and UAT activities around it within my group.
When you have specific questions I can help more.
Are there particular transactions you're using that you're not getting what you expect out of?
I am seeign the technical names...is that what t-codes means?
I am so used to talking to programmers, that not having one in the office next to me has been hard...when I have questions I don't have a lot of people to go ask and the ones I can have only been here 19 months so their knowledge is limited too.
More of it is not knowing where to go to get the information I am looking for.
Example: My last company I worked for there was one report that would give me on hand quantities and dollars for raw materials and then in columns next to that give me receipts, requisitions, adjustments, and shipments (all in units and dollars) and I could calculate inventory turns or anything else....
I am trying to find out what we have and how much of it we use a year to see if there is a better way to buy (kind of doind a cost of capital calculation - adjusted for how long things currently sit vs how long they will sit if we change).

T-codes is transaction codes and yes.
You would probably need to ask your informatics team to help you with developing a custom T-Code to do what you're looking for. Though I'm sure it exists, I just don't have experience with money related use of SAP as I'm in Clinical Supplies.
I'll do a little digging but would being able to look up PO's help?
ME23N allows you to look up PO's and you can drag and drop multiples if you want to look at an aggregate.

Maybe, I am thinking more of the inventory movement side of things would be what I needed.
Multiple...like all our raw materials about 50-100 items
