Ok , help the new guy

before I tear something up...
Ok , im a old fart but got a new FZ6R last weekend , stepping down from my FJR to a smaller ride, FJR was just to much for me..First thing that has to go is the butt ugly rear fender hanging out, got a fender elimanatior with the small lights off Ebay and it looks awhole lot better than stock....Ok the problem is, where is the end of the tail light wire so I can unplug it ? Do I have to cut the wires ?? Last thing I want to do is tear up something and I don't have 10 miles on her yet ...........

That FJR 2013 is the bike my wife and I are planning on buying later this season or over the coming winter - to try and get a 2013 leftover.

I think there's some connector available but most than likely you won't reinstall the stock blinkers. Just cut odd the wires and write down the colors... what goes where. So you can reconnect them back together. Did you get the FE with license plate light?

You have to remove the right side rear fairing to gain access to the connectors.

You can purchase connectors that will fit right onto the factory if you want, just search the forums, they are out there somewhere.

Here is the connectors that I got:

Motorcycle OEM Connectors for blinkers and tail lights

Just trace the wires from the fender up through the hole in the tail, and you can find the connectors. There will be a plate light wire, and two turn signal connectors. It is simple really.

Ha! Beat me before I could plug my own video

My signals are integrated, so I don't know what you're going to have to do extra for the turn signals. If you have to cut and splice, just leave as much extra as you can so you have enough left over to splice back if you want to ever go back to stock.

Mine came with the connectors so I didn't have to cut anything... I had installed an integrated tail light on my fz6r.
