Yeah I feel the same way.Im honest & dreading the day someone ask's me about my ram air.I just want it to function mainly.I honestly think a couple of terminal adaptors would be a great way to get into the airbox and scoop.
But im trying to think of better pipe to use than flexible pvc.Im just thinking that it might be easier to use electrical compnents, instead of automotive because they are designed to attach to boxes already. We would just need to drill the proper sized holes, and route it.
JB weld is some pretty crazy stuff.Might be able to use jb weld to connect threaded radiator hose to a terminal adaptor or something instead of pvc, or slide a chase nipple through the holes, and connect radiator hose with radiator clamps on the threaded side of the nipple.

I wasn't planning on trying this soon.Im just trying to get a good plan made to take care of this winter.4 more months until my warranty ends anyway.
But feel free to pm me if your wanting to do it soon.I wont mind making a few trips to the store, and taking bodywork off of my bike to help walk you through it.
Another good thing about drilling controlled sized holes. Is that you can plug them, and use silicone to make a good seal if you ever want to return the bike to stock configuration.
Sorry Marthy, I know this is your mod's page.Just trying to help/gather a lil input.
