Whelp...The Sporty will win the grunt game with 67HP and 70 ftlbs of torque available by 5000 RPM, but I will rev up the FZ6R to get it ~75HP as soon as I can. Wife will be happy, as she's used to the Kawasaki Concours flat smoking her. She will giggle.
Whelp...the FZ6R was a champ in the twisties, but....having a Kawasaki Concours 14 as my primary bike? I missed the 1450cc's when it was time for highway riding. The Yammie is a great commuter and twisties bike. Nothing like the rocket-ship response on the throttle of the C-14. We did 225 miles of country roads, twisties and some highway. Even got some rain riding on the way back, and the Yammie did fine.
