Multistrada is a very sweet bike too. If I could afford a second bike. That would be on my list.Tough about you yesterday. I went to the Ducati/Triumph stealership to get some parts for my boss 93 907 IE. I took a little tour of the showroom... DANG! The Streetfighter 848 is a bad a$$ ride. But the one that cough my eyes the most was the Multistrada Pikes Peak edition. Like I said I'm getting that thing for adventure bike. I'm still in denial... LOL Like not being able to admit you like big butt...LOL

Looking at the pictures. I think is cool. If you change the seat to a cowl will make it stand out without the bar on the way.dunno if i like the chopped bar or not...also looks like the other option is white.
Agreed... AND it looks like it mounts to the same points are our grab bars. So if you prefer the new bar (I, for one, don't) you can just swap over. I do think those grab bars with seat cowl would look pretty slick.
Yea I really LOVE the adventure bikes to Marthy.Iv been talking about the tenere on and off since I joined here.Safer, stronger, more comfortable, just so expensive.
Iv honestly been thinking about a wr450 and a dualsport kit.The new tenere is amazing.But I really want a bike thats designed to mod.I dont think a tenere 1200 is, and a supersport would just get me speeding more than I already do.
I personally dont mind kickstart.I could get a clean wr used for $3500, call it $5500 after getting it legal on the road.It would be the best of both worlds having a fz6r and a wr450.Shoot the hardcases for a adventure bike cost what a used wr does.

Not to dis future 2013 prospective owners, but wth is up with the white fender? And the graphics package with white fender all add up to a disconnected look; who are these designers and how did they ever get this job?
Future 2013 buyers, just buy a replacement blue fender and the new graphics will prolly work.

I was just thinking the same thing. That front white fender looks so out of place. If it was blue or black I think it would flow well with the rest of the grafixs, but that white just looks retarded. I'm still up in the air on that grab bar. I hate the one we have on the older models, but this doesn't seem much better.
If they wanted to fix something, they should have at least changed the mirrors and exhaust.

I really like the color scheme on these new bikes but they are a little too busy i think. Atleast its more of a striped look rather than a generic artsy computer generated graphic created by someone who just graduated graphic design school lol. A simpler look would be better imo though. Last years white and 09's raven are still the best lookin because they are not over done and are a blank canvas to do whatever you want. We need an all copper version so i can buy the side fairings lol.:beer::banghead:

I like the white with red frame. Other than the frame color and the grab bar it's pretty much the same design as this year's.
There will apparently not be an FZ8 or an FJR for 2012. Not surprised. I was at a dealer last week and he had two brand-spanking new FZ8s arrive while I was there. Said he had one more coming. He had two FJRs there and one more coming. I suspect they've got plenty of inventory of those bikes, so they're just going to skip a model year.

Definitely not digging the white fender. Graphics aren't terrible, but I'd def take them off if I was buying one.
Im probably the only person here that likes the white front fender lol.Yamaha allways uses white graphics on the team blue bikes.Its about time they added more white.I personally think it would look better adding a white tail section, instead of a blue front fender.It looks alot better than the white rear fender on the yz.
Im pretty excited to see someone mod this paticular model.Instead of peeling those graphics, I think adding aftermarket stickers the way a race team displays sponsors will make it hot.

I think the graphics (if you squint a bit) are an extension of the white fender, up the fork, across the fairing, and onto the gas tank...
Perhaps that's obvious, but removing either the white fender, or the graphics, would render that effect (if that's what they were going for) ineffective...

Still without a bike, after my accident with the Street Triple.
Anyway, I may get a bike soon. Looking for Street Triple (again, yeah, I know) fz6r or new Kawi 650 (I've been told vibration was reduced)
So, what changed on the fz6r?
