wobbly mirror

Got the chance to get out and ride yesterday and will have more time today. When i folded out the mirrors and went for a ride, the right one was wobbly and loose. I removed it from the frame and all the connectors were tightly secured. I'm stumped, any ideas?

Was it just the mirror housing, or was it the entire mirror assembly including the support arm?

Maybe you haven't rode in a long time and you went wobbly at the start on take off and you were looking at the mirrors?

Edit: to better clarify, the problem exists where the support arm is mounted to the motorcycle.

did you take of the rubber boot? there's a screw underneath (at least with the r6s mirrors) that can be tightened and loosened.

^+1 Check to make sure that all the mounting hardware is securely fastened to the bike. I know that the mirrors themselves have some vibration to them, but if the problem is at the support arm, you need to tighten it down.

All the mounting hardware is securely fastened. When I grab the support arm only it wiggles, not the mounting. Not sure how it's possible as everything is properly tightened.

If you lift up the boot, there's a large screw there to adjust how tight the stem is on the base. They're designed to pivot and fold over. If the screw is loose, it'll wiggle like that.
