opinions on a chain and sprocket set?

Dealer says I need a new chain and probably sprockets, was wondering if this set was decent or if anyone has used it, don't want to throw junk on my bike but price is somewhat a concearn, also are the teeth correct, front 16 teeth rear 46 teeth to stock?

Your link doesn't work.

A lot of people go with a 17 tooth front sprocket to correct the error in the speedo. I went with a -3 on the rear, because the parts guy couldn't order the front sprocket.

I don't know to much about bikes so as for the actual set. I can't help you.

What I can tell you from mine is on the 13 FZ 1 down and 2 up seems to be a good fit from stock.

I just recently ordered a new chain and sprocket for the bike. I bought the DID x-ring chain from Motorcycle Superstore for $95.19[FONT=&quot][/FONT], and OEM sprockets from Bike Bandit at 22.94 for the front and $50.39 for the rear.

It must be chain season. I just ordered a DID X-ring chain & sprocket kit from Dennis Kirk for a hair under $150. The original doesn't look that bad, but almost 16,000 miles is a lot for a chain.

Mine finally got a stiff link that won't budge. Got over 18000 on it though.

Yeah mine has 17k miles on it, I got tight and loose spots.

This one was kinked up and would jam up going around the front sprocket when I turned the wheel by hand, so I decided to err on the side of caution — especially after that incident one of the members had on here where his chain snapped and knocked a chunk out of the engine block.

I remember that one. Ironically, about the same time I saw a pic of a 'busa that had broke a chain at speed.

It ran up the rear sprocket, right through the plastic on the side of the seat and missed impaling his backside by just a few inches. The chain was moving so fast that the hole in the plastic was clean.

It looked like how you would think a gun-shot through the plastic would look.
