I can't read Japanese, but the March 2013 issue of "Young Machine" had a 250 on the cover thats supposed to compete against the Ninja and Cbr250, + there was a article about a Yzf-R675

The magazines Japanese, just a french blog, had trouble finding it on the Japanese site lol.Can you make anything out?
In Sport Rider last year, Kunihiko Miwa commented about a 675 mill they were already testing, or I wouldn't be so hopeful

if its a 250 or 500 the trailer is misleading lol....if its a 675 im not sure ill be too excited they already have a good mid range of bikes from the fz line and r lines its about time something on the lower price range came to town.... the fz6r price tag out ranges it from competition from the car 500 and the ninja 300... and from the fz6r- the r1 they have quite a range in between for riders to choose....i mean perhaps it could be another bike like ducati's hypermotard or or something but i dont know what exactly to expect

Its gotta be a 450 inspired supermoto (they don't have a dualsport 450) or a 675 triple..I guess Yamaha said this

I'm with you... It could be their new triple, which has been 'the secret shouted from the rooftop' for over a year...
Honda and Kawasaki (even zuki) have been intro'ing new models like it's do or die... Yamaha is the one major Asian standout that hasn't... yet...
The YZF-125R is a beautiful looking bike and the Ninja 250 had almost no competition for about 20 years. I'm looking forward to Yamaha entering the little bike class.

My thoughts from the vid is some type of super motard. However, that won't really change the 'sportbike world', not like a triple cylinder R6 would.
I'd love for them to get in the small bike game, but a 250 is not even in that game anymore! With the ninja 300 and now cbr 500 (think honda is going to kill their own 250 line w that 500).
A new yami 250 now is useless....unless it is a mini SS, meaning full out w/ more aggressive riding positions, better suspension and some actual top end.
