Here's my first video take this morning with my GoPro. Unfortunately I didn't get the HD version for Christmas. But since most of the time I'll just be making clips for here. A little chilly out this morning. But not bad riding weather for January 1st. Finally got a little dry weather to go play.

Edit: OK that pisses me off. It took the music off my video. Anyone know where you can post videos with music without them taking it off? It sounded so cool having the engine sound mixed in with Disturbed and Rage against the Machine. :rant:

Yeah, youtube sucks when it comes to adding your own music. They will strip it quick. And their audioswap music sucks. I think I have heard Vimeo or something like that doesnt strip music nearly as bad as Youtube. Could be wrong on that site, but its something like that.

That's exactly what it is, unless you can prove you have copyright ownership of the music or have actual consent from the record company, it's a no go on using their music

Yeah they do say that it's copyright issues. But I've put videos up before with music on them that didn't get stripped. I'll see if I can figure it out some other way.

Yea the vid I just posted yesterday had music in it then I just reuploaded it w/o the sound, guess which stayed? Surprising how quick they get on the copyright stuff.

You can try vimeo.com as well for uploading videos. I haven't had any copyright issues with music so far.

Cool video's...

I eventually found I just liked the sound of the engine in my videos, the mix wasn't a bad compromise with leaving the engine and adding a bit of music, but as you found out... they don't like the whole copyright issues

Nice. Think I am going to start going the Vimeo way... not so nazi about the music. Youtube audioswap sucks and I want to add my own music. I'm not profiting or anything by adding a favorite song, if anything just giving it more exposure. They should pay ME!

nice video! how does the go pro mount to the bike?

The motorsports version of the GoPro comes with the suction cup of all suction cups. It has an articulated arm mounted to the cup for alignment. So it's just stuck to the fairing just below the FZ6R name and behind the turn signal. I'm also tethering it to the bike (just in case that suction cup fails) by using the helmet lock cable that comes with the bike. I'm attaching it to one of the fairing bolts with an extra wide washer and connecting it to one of the adjustment screws on the suction cup mount.

That is a good idea and something I should have done. My suction cup came off and I ended up buying a new Drift HD170 after a car went over mine as it was lying in the road.

I'm debating on which attachment really provide the better video and gets you a little closer to the "action". Bike Cam or Helmet Cam. Great vids!

We have some really nice twisty roads here in NC but it's been TOO cold to really get out on them. I went out the other day in some frilly 40 degree weather and came back after 3 hours with purple pinkies...perhaps warmer weather...

Thanks guys. I'm going to try the MotoGP style pillion cam this weekend. I really don't like the helmet cam much. It really seems to straighten out the road a lot. You can't tell how tight and twisty it really is.
