So, we are in the planning stages... I know a few of you went last year, so hoping to meet a few of you there this year. We are taking two days to get there, should be there Fri afternoon.

Really excited to do this!

I doubt I will be back in IL by race weekend, but it will be getting close to that time. If I am back, I will definitely ride over to Indy. If I am still in LA, I might try to plan an extended week off to ride anyways! :steve:

So far I and ME_with_a_B are in for sure, both of us will be flag marshalls for the 2011 Indy MotoGP. I'll arrive to Indy Thursday around noonish, and will stay until Sunday after the race. Hope to see there as many of you fellow FZ6Rers as possible.
I already exchanged cell#s with Don so will be able to meetup Friday afternoon/evening.
Also who ever else is going shout me an PM to exchange cell#s to be able to communicate while over there easier.

Just an FYI... with the addition of the new Texas track to the MotoGP schedule in 2013, this might be the second to last race in Indy for MotoGP.

These rumors are from a pretty good source from inside the Speedway. I'm hoping that this doesn't pan out to be true, but I figured I'd put it out there for any of you who live in the Midwest and were waffling about going this year.

I will be there for sure. I will be on my own schedule, but I will try to meet up with you all at some point.

How much would one budget for this? O_O

I wouldn't know if I was in until August though...Fack student budgets. Plus I'd take my girlfriend and probably leave August 21st spend time in Baltimore going to the aquarium/seeing the sights. Meet up on Thursday and come back Sunday. I wish Damnit...

I am budgeting $500.... and that's probably overkill.... but better to be ready for a big bill and have left-overs, than to under-budget. That includes camping onsite @ Indy and cooking out our own food, gas and a one night stop at a campsite in WV (to play around on local roads on our way out there).

Just found out Saturday at my b-day bash , one of our rider's brother lives 30 minutes from the track, so we'll probably camp at his house.

The only way that is possible is if you get General Admission tickets, and stay on some of the spots at the edge of the track, I could recommend some good spots if you guys decide to do that.
