I'm there! No excuse since I live an hour away! Father-in-law got a bike, so we'll have another family convoy going!

I'll be flagging again, most likely Turn 6b. I'll be there starting Thursday the 16th of August.

Hey, I'll be at ACC memorial day weekend, all three days. If you decide to come, book early, that weekend usually sells out.Hopefully I'm able to go this year. Last years pictures/stories made me jealous.
I only live a hour away, I would really like to ride there and meet everyone.
My cousin just got his first bike to, we were talking about riding up together earlier tonight.

Iv only been to carb day, and 500 practices.
I just paid at the gate to get into the infield.

You don't necessarily need tickets in advance. (Unless you want more expensive reserved seats in Turn 1) You can pay at the entrance. The motorcycle entrance last year was directly North of the track on 30th street. They will funnel you into the infield from there. Don't park anywhere else outside, this is the place to be!
I'd also suggest getting downtown for the night before the race. Bikes on Meridian is probably the coolest motorcycle gathering outside of Bike Week in Daytona.

Id also like to ask for anyone from out of town, that is going to bring there bike to Indianapolis overnight to take double or triple precautions while storing it overnight..
A few years back, a supercross team from canada lost there race bike out a enclosed trailer.
Its a great town, but anywhere with a population that high will have smart bad apples, that know how to target major events like these.
Iv never rode to an event, how secure will my bike be in the lot?
Will my brake lock, and steering lock be enough?
Whats the security like?I dont want to be the only guy there chaining my bike up like pee wee lol

Im mainly worried about finding my bike knocked over, and a empty beer can layin next to it lol.
I might be willing to trade cell #'s with other small groups, to take shifts checking the bikes lol...

dude your over thinking about your bike getting stolen thats why we pay for insurance
Mine is under 405 a year and im making sure it stays that way lol.
My insurance was the primary reason I chose a fz6r.

You need to realize that this is MotoGP... not the Brickyard 400. There are thousands of bikers there who cherish their bikes as much as you do yours. You will be blown away at how courteous everyone is. Nobody messes with anyone's bike in the infield. I can't speak for any of the campsites etc., but it's not that big of a deal. It's the most civilized crowd of the three races in Indy.
