I have the healtech indicator and the connectors are under the tank. the healthech has 2 wires and one connector. one wire connect to the harness from the brake pedal and the other one goes to one under the tank. But everything is connected under the tank. We are expecting a storm here in kentucky with snow and rain. as soon i can i can take pictures. I use the directions from the R6 forum. The only different is the color of the wires.

I agree that the eBay indicator does not function like a Healtech or PZRacing that calculate the gear based on crankshaft and speed sensors.

We've got +12v and a neutral switch, but we don't have 5 wires that represent gears 1-5. Even if we did, that particular eBay indicator wouldn't show 6th gear b/c it doesn't have a "stall" for that :D. It doesn't even have a ground wire which is a bit suspect for an electronic device.

Here's another type of fairly cheap GI that uses magnets and comes with decent instructions and looks like it would work on our bike.
