I've had my bike for about 6 months now and changed the oil and filter at 600 miles I have 1300 miles on it and now the engine sounds clickedy (I know made up word) theres no power loss just the sound I run around 6000 rpm, anyone else notice this is it normal or should I take it in to the dealer(have 6 more months under warranty). also only in 5th gear it whistles don't know why any input would be appreciated.
Mine (2014 red/white like yours 
) it has a ticking noise which it is more audible at low revs, I google it and apparently it's normal, it's called "Yamatick"or "Yamaha tick", all Yamaha 600 I4 bikes have it.

Mine ticks a bit and then whirs like a sewing machine and then I'm not sure after that because I'm hanging on.

That's weird. Come to think about it, my bike also did that too. I do remember that ticking noise. I thought I had a piece of stick or something stuck somewhere around the wheels. I checked and never found anything.

I had heard this noise on both of my 6R's and asked my dealership to look into it when they did the 600 mile checkup. Told me it was running fine but I still had that slight wonder in the back of my head. Awesome to finally know it's "just a Yamaha thing".
