I got a 2011 fz6r with bent right fork tube I was wondering what model of yzfr or r1-r6 would work well if I was to swap the whole triple tree and forks out
Hi there
I must replace forks, becouse of accident but i cannot find xj6 used forks. Are the same from FZ6 if so from which year? I found a lot of fz6 used forks but noone for xj6. I called service in our country and they said to me that from Fz6 are bigger.
P.S. If anyone have forks from...
I have my bike at the dealer for a couple of things and I asked if they could lower the forks for me because I don't feel comfortable doing it myself.
Getting the woodcraft clipons 1 1/2 inch risers.
He mentioned dropping it that much may have kickstand problems.
I know quite a few of you have...
i bent my forks and i am looking to get new ones. i was doing some reading and i saw putting r6 forks on the fz6r, but what if i just bought the inner tube because that is what is bent, do you think that it would fit?
Im new to this so dont freak out if i screw this up.:o i just low sided my 09 fz6r @ 50mph and did a good job trashing the front end. i need to replace both forks and am having a heck of a time finding stock replacements. there are tons of r6 front ends out there but im not sure how involved it...
I am thinking about raising the front fender on my bike by about half an inch so that I can use a higher profile front tire, possible a dual sport tire.
Does the front fender act as a fork brace? If so, I assume the forks would need some extra bracing if I were to in fact raise the fender.
Hey guys, I'm an avid rider and motorcycle enthusiast but this is my first foray into a Modern Sportbike. I rebuild and ride vintage motorcycles, I have a '76 FLH, '74 shovel chop, '66 BSA a50, and the newest bike i've ever owned is a '97 1200 Sportster.
At any rate, one day I realized that...
Hit a curb and now needs new front tire and forks. There are some very thin scratches on the front left side of the plastic. I bought flush mount turn signals but never installed them, they are included. I have no clue what to price the bike at. I know forks are $800 + labor and tire is maybe...
I read some old posts about people doing this to get an adjustable fork onto their FZ6R. Has anyone done this recently? I have a '12 FZ6R and was wondering what year of the R6's forks would be compatible.
Thanks
Norm
Before you need to change the rear suspension or lower or make mods to the rear. I read an article in SuperStreetBike "FZ6R Better than you Think" where they look to have lowered a 2011 as much as possible by brining the forks up thru the Triple Tree to the maximum (just before they hit the...
Hey guys and thanks for having me on the forum
I have researched and searched for a while now and cannot find a clear answer for the swap. I have a 2009 fz6r. Forks were damaged when I purchased it. I bought a set of 04 r6 forks to do the swap but the fz6r triples are too small of course. My...
I bought by bike used. The roaring toyz lowering kit was already installed. I'm assuming the front end was lowered. Can somebody post a pic of how high the forks stick up or gimme the measurement. I want to lower it more but read I prob shouldn't if it's already lowered the 1.75
Got the bright idea to use my other yamaha's forks and did the swap. This is simple write up being that ill probly forget something, but if you have questions ill do my best to provide details.
Ive thought about swapping some of the parts from the 600r a couple of times in the past, but...
Does anyone have a how to on changing the springs in the forks.

I'm not sure how much interest I will get here but, I came to the realization today the the FZ6R shares the same forks/brake calipers as the earlier model FZ6 (2004 - 2006 model years). There are a number of early model FZ6 owners that have "upgraded" to the later...
