Hello good people of this forum,
I've newly acquired a 2009 Yamaha XJ6 Diversion with 23000KMs which is pretty much the same as the good ole FZ6R
Seems to be alright so far and it does put a smile on my face every time I see it
However ,it does have one issue which is bugging me
The story goes...
I have a 2012 Yamaha FZ6R and it's my first bike. I've been riding for about 4 years now and never really had much of a problem with it until now.
A couple of months or so ago I noticed that when I would be sitting at a traffic light (or otherwise stopped) and I had the bike in 1st gear and...

Hello boys and girls i'm in need of a little assistance with my bike regarding the neutral gear.
When i'm in first and try to shift into neutral the pedal will either skip past neutral and jump into second or on rare occasions be clicked into neutral on the first try, i usually have to click...
June 25, 2015: i will replace it. Cost is <$20.00 at local dealership. Thank you
best advice: do it the right way. you should take it off to work on it, and if you're already going through that effort, you might as well go for new...
Hi,
I been messing with the clutch free play tension and can't get it to work properly. Every time the engine is hot (+205 F) and i give full throttle all of the sudden my rpm races up bu the bike does not move with the rpm speed. If i increase the clutch free play, then the problem only...
So I'm in love with the R&G engine sliders but the silly Brits sent me washers that won't fit and hex bolts with tiny socket holes. This lead to me stripping a few of the bolts. To their credit they sent me replacements but I ended up just buying my own with larger socket holes.
Unfortunately...
Hello,
When i am about to take off after a red light, i shift to 1st and have to release the Clutch lever almost all the way (85-95% fully released) for the bike to start moving on it's own. Is that normal? I would've expected the clutch to start disengaging half way release of the lever...
Some of you might have figured out I'M BACK ON THE ROAD!! :D
I did a street fighter, didn't like it, and just converted my bike back to stock Raven body. Now I'm having an issue... I haven't ridden much since doctor cleared my arms for use, but twice I've gone WOT in second gear up through...
Tweaked the bike two weeks after I bought it because I was getting sore thumbs and hands. The culprit was the stock angle of the brake and clutch levers being far too high. If you too are experiencing sore thumb joints and hand cramps I strongly recommend this fix.
Basically rotate your brake...
I installed some new grips, heated so I didn't buy any "grip glue" from the internet that might need to be cut off or destroy them. Anyway, I used some hairspray. Throttle side seems good, but my clutch side rotates fairly easily.
What are you guys using? Anything that is strong but removable?
Anybody looking at getting a gear indicator should check out the Healtech. Very easy to install, couple minutes and programming is easy. It's auto learning so it is pretty simple. I've found it to be very quick and accurate. It shows the gear up or down immediately after letting the clutch back...
Hey all,
I've noticed a funny noise recently when I'm just starting out in first gear on my bike. The sound is a sort of 'clunk' a little bit like the noise it makes when you're sitting in neutral and shift down to first. It happens as I'm just starting out in first gear, getting off the...
So when I start my bike in first gear with the clutch pulled it has a tendency to roll forward. It is very minor, but definitely noticeable. Today I revved my engine jokingly at a friend and noticed that it also tried to roll slightly forward then. Could my clutch cable be adjusted slightly...
I have a little Honda beginner bike for a season. I wanted to upgrade to a little bit faster ride for highway riding. The FZ-07 has gotten a tons of great review lately. This is the bike I wanted to get going into the demo ride. I got there around 10:15am and the earliest they have me on a...
I was installing some new levers today, brake lever was a breeze. While loosening (at least I thought it was loosening) the nut from the bolt, it snapped at the threads. S!#@ happens. I was wondering if anyone knew where to order a replacement as I am finding it very difficult to locate the OEM...
Hey guys. I have a 2010 FZ6R currently with 39,XXX miles and counting. So far I have a K&N air filter. JT sprockets 16/45 RK x ring chain. ZX10R mirrors. 02 R6 header. YZF 450 aluminum race muffler. Danmoto adjustable clip ons. EBC HH rated front pads. EBC heavy duty clutch springs. Rims...
Just went over 15000 on my 09. Did the oil change and replaced the chain less than 500 miles ago. Last couple days it has felt as if the take off power has disappeared. Today, as I was coming into work it almost sounded bogged down through the first three or four gears, when I gave it a little...
So I just bought my 09 FZ6R, took it for a few rides no problem. Went out to it and the clutch lever only seemed to pull halfway then stop abruptly. I was squeezing as hard as I could and it wouldn't go any further. It still works, engages and disengages, but it just doesn't feel right. I...
