    So long old friend!

    Just got back from a funeral service for an old friend and fellow rider. This guy was a legend in our area. He rode dirt and street for 60 years. Flat out was his style! He was just a great old gentleman. He had a stroke about ten years ago and could no longer ride. I was visiting one day and he...

    Lmao duh!

    I am watching local news this morning and the ticker at the bottom of the screen has this item. "Motorcycle riders over the age of 60 are more likely to get hurt in a crash than younger riders." WOW,,,I thought that would be a given. I laughed until my waffles came out my nose. I wonder how...

    New Drake Air textile Pants

    I got a good deal on these pants and I absolutely love them. I just returned from a month in Europe and I went to the Dianese store in Milan. Saved a few bucks on the pants,but blew a wad on the vacation. Six countries in four weeks. Great food and drinks and the sites were unbelievable. Bikes...

    Respect

    It bothers me how some will linger waiting for a chance to jump into a conversation and stir the pot. We all have our own opinions and once in a while we will disagree and in the heat of the moment disrespect a fellow member. Most always an apology comes later down the line. That is not what I...

    FZ6R saves the Farm!

    !8" of wet snow,no power,no phone, no water,trees and power lines down across my fences and pastures next to my driveway. Our town was without power, so there was no way to get gas for the generator. And then I remembered the bike is full of gas. I knew that bike would come in handy in the...

    Education=safety

    PORTLAND, Ore. -- Motorcycle deaths in Oregon are at an all-time high and transportation officials believe most could have been prevented. Many victims were never trained or endorsed to ride on two wheels. We had 51 motorcycle deaths in Oregon last year. Just a safety reminder for the new...

    Respect your fellow riders!

    Went down to the only gas station in town tonight to get gas.It's also a Mini Mart so there are always a lot of cars and people around outside sometimes blocking the pumps. I go to pull in and there are about a dozen Harleys and a big crowd of guys and women blocking the entrance to the pump...

    Caught in a storm!

    I'm riding one of my favorite mountain roads yesterday alone. Very narrow, no shoulders and in a series of 20 mph S curves. I'm in a right hander a foot off the fog line and a SS rider goes around me in my lane about a foot off my left wing. I was doing 45mph. I held my line and as soon as he...

    What gives?

    I took my bike in Saturday to the dealer where I bought it for a vibration and slight loss of power. They just called and said it needed the throddle body sync'ed and it was not covered by warranty.(Total $163) I have had it since last July and it has 1,010 miles on it. Does that sound right to...
