    Steampunk?

Ok. I've been considering this a lot and I have come to a final decision on what I intend to do. I'm not going to use a lot of brass. The only brass I might use will be in the buckles for attaching the panels and or cowling. I'm going to go strictly with the hardened leather and vintage...

    An idiot own me money.

Thanks, I will admit that I do a lot of writing in my spare time. So, I tend to use a lot of alliteration and exaggerated imagery in my regular conversation. I find that it does help.

    An idiot own me money.

I understand that the likelyhood of that happening is very slim. However, I did say that I do like to tell them things in the extreme to get my points across to them. Some of my Family can be a little dim or very hard of hearing when I tell them things. Unless they're in the car with me and...

    An idiot own me money.

Mom to the rescue. So, it turned out to be my Niece that did it. She feels bad for not paying close enough attention to what she was doing when she moved things around on the patio. I think my niece thought I would actually kill her for it. LOL Either that or she actually believed me when...

    An idiot own me money.

I really wish people would use their heads and open their ears. Someone in my house owes me a new cover for my bike and I need to find somewhere else to hang it so it can dry when I'm out. An idiot placed their oil collection pan with their used oil filter right under my bike cover and...

    Steampunk?

LOL, It's something I have only done once before, but I am familiar enough to work with hardened leather again. I would cut the leather according to the size and shape I wanted it to be, taking into account shrinkage. Then I would soak the leather in water. After that, I would put it into...

    Reflective stickers

I know that lights are a viable option, and they can be purchased pretty cheap. However, I would check with your local law enforcement about this. Where I live, it is illegal to use any color other than the same colors as the lights that come with the bike for normal operation. Lights and...

    Steampunk?

I already know what you mean, Super. I had to take off one of the side fairings when I installed my 12v outlet on my bike. I was considering three options for some custom shrouds. Option one was something I can do in my own kitchen and that would be hardened leather. Option two would be to...

    Steampunk?

I've been thinking about eventually doing some custom work to my bike and I got to wondering. I've seen a lot of naked/street fighter work and I do kind of like the look. I'm considering going with a particular style along these lines and I thought Steampunk would work really well. I...

    Smoking cagers

Haha, you're 100% right Fraze it could have been much worse. I could have been hit by a burrito. I'm not much of a fan of Will Ferrell, the only movies I really like him in was Talladega Nights and Bewitched the movie. I have always loved Jack Black though. Ever since I first saw...

Nismos, you're right, they shouldn't. But, that doesn't stop them from doing it any way.

    Shifting

Mine feels that way all the time. It made my Nephew real nervous when I brought him home from work last night. However, I did have it miss once. I grabbed the clutch real fast and let off the throttle; as I did, I felt it thunk into place after the RPM's got up to around 8k. I was extremely...

    Smoking cagers

Macklinator, thank you so much for the laugh. I really needed it. However, I can't tell you how bad I would like to "Smoke" those cagers for doing that. But there are laws about that kind of thing. Sadly, we have littering laws here that are there just for that that can not be enforced at...

    Smoking cagers

This is something I feel like going postal on someone about. Let me start from the beginning. For my Birthday, I took a ride across the State and drove through the Vicksburg Military Park. On the ride out there, I had a cager flip their cigarette butt out the window and burst on my face plate...

    New to shifting.

That is what the technique is for. The other day I was watching some videos online for adjusting chain tension for motorcycles and it is almost the same exact technique. Things do work differently, but the concept is there. I also figured that alignment was a lot more critical for a...

How do YOU carry your extra helmet on ur fz6r?

That's a good idea, blkbrd. However, I love the way my baby looks like she is. I am on the lookout for a Cowling I like. Unfortunately, all I can find are the blue or yellow ones. I would like to find one I can afford in black or red. Preferably in red. Just not much choice out there for...

    Rider Insurance FTW!!

I logged onto the website and found out what the deal is with my insurance. First and foremost, I have no other vehicle that is my own and this bike is my primary transportation. That is issue number one. Not much I can do about this. Number two, my agent set my deductibles a lot lower...

    New to shifting.

Superzoom. For me I think it would be best for me to have the bike elevated to adjust that chain slack. I was looking at the swing arm and the two axle bolts an I noticed the way it all goes together. The technique would be just like adjusting the tightness on my bicycle chain. I don't know...

    Rider Insurance FTW!!

I got to thinking about it and I have a bad feeling that the guy I went through may be charging me an outrageous agent's fee or something. I'm looking into it a little deeper. I mean, come on. The only reason it's so high is just because of the "kind of bike it is"? If that were the case...

How do YOU carry your extra helmet on ur fz6r?

I don't carry my extra helmet with me. It gives me an excuse to be stingy with my ride. However, if I do have my extra helmet with me; it's usually on my passengers head. If it fits, otherwise they better have their own helmet.
