If you are that new to riding, I am also assuming that you do not have your endorsement. I would recommend taking a MSF Basic Rider Course. When I began, I took it at a local community college which cost me around $350. But the advantage to that is they provide bikes and actually give you the...
I should have posted something about that link earlier. But the diameter of the bolt didn't fit the stock ones. Im sure I could have purchased different bolts to allow it to fit but it wouldn't have worked since I lowered the front.
I have an Arai Signet Q helmet, everything hooked up well. Configuring how I wanted it set up took a little while. Sound quality is great, but bad low frequency response. The volume actually can get too loud. the turn by turn directions from my phone's GPS is really what I wanted. So i set a...
Looking into getting a good bluetooth setup for my helmet, but I don't want to break the bank. Pretty much I want it for turn by turn GPS. Anybody have any good advise on what to get?
Thanks! This is what I was looking for. Its a 2011 and it had 1400 miles on it when I bought it in November and it is just over 1700. So the tires don't have very many miles on them, but they are about 4 years old.
Oh and another thing! Be carefully hooking up those lights straight to the bike's battery. Since LEDs have a very low resistance rating, the battery send a large current to the lights, burning them out. I am pretty sure they come with a load resistor in line with the LED, but be careful.
So depending on the charge of the one you have laying around, it is going to be less bright. Another factor will be the amount of current the battery is able to discharge, some have what is called an ESR. Equivalent Series Resistance. For automotive batteries, they have a very low ESR or close...
I bought my 2011 FZ6R back in November with 1400 miles and I am pretty sure they are the stock tires, the tires are dated with 2011. Is there any specific life of a tire on when they should be changed? I was in a Military Sport Bike Rider course and one of the instructors said that usually by...
I have my insurance through Progressive. I had zero riding experience as this is my first motorcycle that I purchased in November. I have full coverage with accessory coverage up to $3,000 with comprehensive and collision with a $500 deductible. I pay $444 a year. When I bought my bike, I did...
Im located on Fort Meade. The cover is the only way I can see it tipping over. Three other bikes on my street had their bikes kickstand bracing against the wind. Mind just happen to be on the side the wind was coming from.
I am pretty sure I got away with minor damages, just scuffed up bar end...
So... I get a call from my wife while at work who got a call from a neighbor that my bike is laying on the ground. First time the bike has been dropped. Has anybody had their bike pushed over by the wind? It is pretty windy here today, but I wouldn't think it was windy enough to push over the...
The mirrors that I bought I don't like them. So i will be returning those and putting the stocks back on until I find a set that I like. Once I get another set I will let you know.
