Turning the bike around in garage?

Been doing it for years as well (although I am not as seasoned as some here). I keep the bike in an 8x12 tool shed for the winter and it is raised so i just walk it up the ramp, put in on the kickstand, swing it around on the stand and put it up on the centre stand for the winter...I have heard...

    New helment

Shoei makes a great helmet, had an RF-1000. I was debating on dropping the coin on an Arai and read somewhere that most people fit either Arai OR Shoei. When Royal started carrying the new vector-2 I tried on my size and instantly knew what they were talking about. You can't go wrong...

    Rain sucks

Hey I am not far from Barrie in fact I work there, but I guess I am the weirdo on the forum, I like the mirrors and I actually a nice steady rain when I have my gear on; it seems somewhat cleansing and relaxing as long as I am not on the hunt for twisties. But hail I am not a fan of. And Gil...

    Headphones/earbuds while riding

I have tried numerous times with different buds. I have found (next to custom molded In-ears) that the MEelectronics M6 with Comply foam earbuds offer the best seal and and comfort. BUT any time I start moving the wind noise just kills the bass. Honestly, Deep Purple without the bass??? So I...

    Am I a terrible person?

I had a similar problem with the last bike (KLR650), I didn't like taking it to work because it was a pavement run (I didn't want to arrive all muddy and such) and on weekends I have a very needy house and property. Last year I actually didn't ride after the middle of August. After beating...

    New FZ6R Question

Well actually some of us did by new and mine was sitting in a crate on a shelf at the dealers. As to what came in that crate I can't say for sure because I wasn't there when they unboxed it but I agree that it is unlikely a free set of fairings comes with every new bike, now a coffee maker...

Seat mod - a different approach

Actually the one thing that surprised me is the stuff I got was hospital grade machine washable. The only thing I want is a rain hoody for when I am not on the bike, I somehow don't think it is water repellent.

Seat mod - a different approach

I did that and I think it works great, the guy I went to was actually a horse tack person but can re-cover and do all kinds of stuff with the leather and foam, if you have ever ridden a horse you'd understand that they have a tough job because it is also dealing with horse comfort as well as...

    Attention, Attention, Attention!!!!

Yes I am glad I wear a full face because then no one can ID the dude who dropped his bike at the lights for no apparent reason...:banghead::banghead::banghead: I was almost home, a little tired and irritated from work and at the lights, right hand slightly downhill turn I was checking traffic...

    Triple Digit Temp and ATGATT

I am an ATGATT kind of person, that is one (of many) reasons why I gravitated to the sportier side of biking, I still love looking at the chromed up customs but the 'cool' factor of the brain buckets and muscle shirts never sat well with me. In the heat I actually find it more convenient to...

Took her on the hwy!!!! 1st time!!!

Good job I assume that wind was buffeting from your right, so you did the right thing staying a little more center lane to allow for the movement of the bike. Once you get comfortable on the bike and understand the whys of where (how they teach) you ride you realize that it's all just...

    Motorcycle Boot thoughts

If you prefer a hiking style boot Icon sells some good ones and reasonably priced. I just recently purchased some Aplinestar Fastbacks and am loving them. Almost bought the SMX2 but didn't think I needed quite that much armour for my riding. Comfy, light and waterproof to boot (pardon the...

    DIY Remove Stickers / Decals

The best thing for sticker residue is WD40. I have used it on all types of residue and it works like a charm. Easy cleanup too just soap and water.
