FS: ss brake lines, cam shafts CHEAP

I hope everyone is doing well. Been a while since I sold my bike. Just found a few things while cleaning the garage. Figured I'd rather the stuff go to someone on here instead of eBay even if I don't get as much money. Willing to take a loss to get them outta my house and put some cash in my...

FS: Brake lines, FZ6 FZ6R cam shafts

I hope everyone is doing well. Been a while since I sold my bike. Just found a few things while cleaning the garage and figured I'd give you all first chance before craigslist and ebay. I have brand new Galfer front brake lines. Think they were over $100. Asking $80, think that's fair. I...

    Time to say goodbye

Maybe. Seen a few beat ones around a grand over here. Can't fit two baby seats in a Miata.... well maybe with a lot of modification. Wait, now the wheels are turning, what did you do to me!? Has there ever been a Miata wagon!? Is that the greatest or worst idea in history?????

    Time to say goodbye

Yea... my bike probably isn't gonna be fun money. Probably replacing one of our cars with a minivan... but I'm trying to convince my wife we need an early 2000s turbo Saab or Volvo wagon instead so I can make tsu tsu tsu stu noises ;)

    Time to say goodbye

I hope to get back in the saddle one day, but I fear it might be until my kids hit college like some of my colleagues. Plastidip isn't hard to do if you prep it right and choose the right colors. I can help you out if you want to replicate it ;) I'm teacher. I'm thankful people get use...

2012 FZ6R lots of extra, lovingly maintained

This 2012 FZ6R has been my pride and joy since I pulled it off the dealership floor. Even though daily commuting only racked up about 10 miles a day, I've put about 11,000 miles on my bike. PROS It got brand new pricey Pilot Road 4 tires installed between 9 and 10k, still very fresh...

    Time to say goodbye

It's with a heavy heart that I say goodbye, brothers and sisters. I thought about this before... but now it's time. If I was in a bubble, the most important thing in my life besides my faith would be my motorcycle and riding. However, I'm not in a bubble. I have a wife, a wonderful son, and soon...

    PCV map help needed

Even better, you can load two maps simultaneous into the PCV and then swap on the fly with a handlebar switch. The Power Commander one is kinda pricey for what it is, I'm gonna just DIY one. Accelerator pump feature would be the easiest since you only have one map to worry about and would...

    PCV map help needed

A thought. I can't remember the terminology but there was an accelerator pump feature or something similar in the tuning software. I messed around with it a little bit but never saw a big difference. Anyway, it's set to dump a certain amount of extra fuel when certain conditions are met...

Missing a piece? Where does this go?

^^ Awesome, thanks! So it's something I don't need. Alright, to the trash can :D

Missing a piece? Where does this go?

Cleaning out my garage I found this. It looks like I removed it to dip the FZ6R at one point. Even though I've had lots of bikes rolls through my garage it looks to be Yamaha quality and nearly brand new. 1. Is this a FZ6R part? 2. Where does it go?

USB phone charger parts and install

I though about a cig lighter, but I don't have anything to plug in except my phone, so I went a different route. I have a battery tender installed and have an adapter to go from that to usb. It's under my seat so I can pull it out when I need it and put my phone in my pocket or a saddle bag...

Dropping the forks for clip ons, will the stock kickstand work?

I did not trust the stock kickstand after dropping the front, especially on uneven ground. I got a lowered kickstand. Yeah the bike is a little far over in my opinion since the rear is stock height, but no wind is going to blow it over for sure!

    Possible New FZ6R

Yeah, that's my bike. These guys on here will vouch for me, I can give you the names of a bunch of guys that have ridden with me too. I've taken very good care of the bike and I was as honest as I could be. Sorry if I was a little out of it when you came by. I was running on very little sleep...

What the deal with clip-on handle bars?

I hate riding with a backpack but I did it daily for about 4 years. These bags aren't huge, but they get the job done. I have some saddle bags we got free when we bought my wife's Ninja 250 from craigslist years ago. Never quite fit the FZ6R right. I was searching for a metal bracket that I...

What the deal with clip-on handle bars?

It still has an original Marthy exhaust with pcv, 1.5 front drop, and everything LED, but back to stock paint, stock bars, and even completed the transformation into old guy by adding hard bags! I had a kid and don't get to ride much anymore (used to commute on it daily) so I go long when I...

What the deal with clip-on handle bars?

Well, there's me. I didn't like the feel with clip ons, but mine had zero rise and I had to street fighter the front of the bike to make them fit. If I had to guess my bars were 3 inches down from stock, maybe 4... maybe more. You know the "6 inches" joke ;) I liked my upper body being...

    FS stock parts

UPDATE: The exhaust was sold locally, I shipped out all my turn signals, scrapped the rear tail light and fender thinking no one would want them. I still have a second set of air scoops (was thinking of doing something custom with lights but never did) and I found my old airbox with the...

Need to replace 7 year old tires

I do a mix of commuting, many hours of hard mountain riding, some multiday trips, and a little bit of hooning. I will say the Pilot Road 4 tires are perfect for me. I would love something a little stickier or more confidence inspiring when you get to peg-dragging lean angles, but in every other...
