Just bought this coppery beauty to replace my poor old GS500F (wrote off by a little old lady) and can't wait to put some miles on her.

Great looking bike! Just got mine going, I love these bikes too, they look and run great!
Oh and I'm new to the forum, live in Pearland Texas, so this is my introduction lol.

Welcome! Never heard of Pearland, Tx but I'm in the South Dallas area.
You need a new back tire by the way!

Lol yeah that's an old Pic when I got her, Pearland is just south of Houston, I put a new chain and tire on her and she was good to go, got a SCREAMING deal on her, so I had to upgrade from my older 04 fz6 a month later naturally lol...
Off topic, but figured I'd throw it out there for someone, to see if maybe the knew.
Sometimes the bike is hard to start, but if I give it a good amount of throttle it'll start eventually and run fine... Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't? Anyone hear of anything like this or. Experience this?
Could it be a stator, or rectifier? A buddy mentioned something like that, but me being mechanically inclined (or I like to think so sometimes) makes me think it's more of a fuel issue? Maybe a dirty filter along the way or something, failing pump? Just need to know before I get stranded or worse, but I have a grom and a couple others to ride so I'm not sweating not riding her until I fix her.
Sorry if this is a repeated problem, but I'm new to the bike scene, I'm from the boats and fishing scene lol..
Nice to meet all[emoji108] I'm a big fan of online forums and this one seems to be a wealth of knowledge.
