I'll go next.

I am originally from central Illinois, but I currently live in Shreveport, LA. I am a graduate research assistant working on my Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology. I got transferred to this site in the great FZ6R Exodus from the FZ6-forums. :p

I have always loved motorcycles, although I never actually rode one until last June when I took the MSF course and got my license. But it wasn't until this February that I was finally able to buy one of my own, the Cadmium Yellow FZ6R (reigns supreme). Riding is such a blast, and the freedom is indescribable.

My name is Brian, I am from Maryland (Baltimore Area) and got my license after taking the MSF this past april. I pretty much take my Yammie Blue FZ6R everywhere I go, I love it!

I am in Architectural design, mostly rehabbing commercial buildings and doing small new buildings.

Hi, everyone!

My name is Nova, which is an exploding star, hence the handle. I started riding in 2006 after I bought the MSF course for my husband's birthday. I started on a 2007 Ninja 250 which served me well for 2 1/2 years. I live in Corona in Southern CA and ride to work 4 days a week. I work for a company that leases computers to businesses.

As soon as I heard about the FZ6R I was all over the research, finding out everything I could about it before its release. When I finally got the chance to sit on one at the Motorcycle Show, I was in love immediately and set to ordering one from my regular shop. I picked her up only a week after the shop got her in, 1/24/09.

The name is Chris, I am 24 and live in Tacoma, WA.. I have been riding since May 2009 and the FZ6R was my first bike and is working out great! I have been practicing the twisty's like crazy and can hang with riders who have been at it for years, every one I have rode with has been shocked that I have only been at it for 2 months! I guess I just pick it up fast or am a natural because its seemed simple from the start. I am also a graduate of the MSF class,, which I learned alot from and recommend it to anyone.

I chose the FZ6R mainly because of the price, I wanted a Ninja 250 back in 08, but they sold out like crazy, so this year I was shopping around and seen this FZ6R and thought the price was great so went to the dealer and jumped on it ASAP.. I had them truck it to my house because I didnt even know how to ride yet ahah!! I was modding it before I even started riding it because my woman took the keys and hid them until I got my permit and/or license.

I work as a structural engineering tech. I hate my boss and want a new job so bad but with the economy in its current position, jobs like mine are hard to come by so I say so I can pay the bills...

Thats about it :america:

Sorry not a new member, just vdbergj1 from FZ6-Forum

My name is Manna, short for Mannetjie my real name. Mannetjie means 'small man' (which I'm not) in Afrikaans, my home language. Living in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

I've been a programmer for years in a big telecommunication company which I part from last year. Now I'm doing web design and anything IT related and hope I'll never get tangled into the big corporate world again - unless its my own ;)

I admired motorcycles for years from far, but said I'll never buy one without buying a coffin first, because I'll kill myself (adrenaline junkey). I had a Suzuki LTZ 400 quad for 2 years and discover that I matured enough to behave myself and respect a powerful toy. It was stolen and I missed it allot, but decided to get something more useful than just a quad toy.

I bought a brand new 2008 FZ6 S2 Black last year which I had to sell (after 6 months) when I needed the money :( for our wedding :D The looks, my riding style and requirements convinced me that a FZ6R will be my next bike - very shortly, although the FZ1 virus is lurking as well

My turn!

Dwayne here from Bellevue WA. I just got myself back into riding after way too many years behind the wheel of a mini van. Started shopping around for a new bike about three months ago and when I came across the FZ6R, I knew I had found the bike I was looking for. I have been on it almost every day and also taught my 19yr old how to ride it. He now rides a YZF600. Haven't been able to add many mods yet but I've learned a great deal from this forum. My next mods will be the IR no-cut sliders and the gel seat from Yamaha. Keep 2 wheels on the ground!!!

:welcome:

You will find us and this forum pretty laid back. There is no bashing or flaming going on here cuz we don't tolerate it. You ask a question and we are going to give you a straight answer. You are going to find a lot of newbies here as well, but there are a few knowledgeable riders here too. Again, welcome, enjoy and be safe.

Hey everyone - I'm Ramsey. I work for the Department of Defense and I currently live in Belleville, IL. Well for about 2 more weeks. I'm headed to Germany and my blue FZ6R is starting her trip on Monday.

I'm a noob and the FZ6R is my first bike. I grew up on the back of Yamaha's as a passenger with my dad at the controls. I rode with him until i was about 18 I guess. We started off on a Seca and then a XJ900, XJ1200 and then a FZR1000.

He quit riding to put me through college but passed on before I finished. So here I am 12 years later...I guess I bought the FZ6R as a tribute to my dad. The FZ6R brought back all the sounds and smells of the good old days.
