    Default First came Suzuki...

... with the re release of the sv650, redesigned.
Then came Kawasaki. Taking the Ninja 650 in a bold new direction.
Now, Honda joins the fray with the 2019 cbr650r
It's annoying to be last, especially with so many obvious innovations that have already been done on the flagship r series which could be moved over easily enough. But my main fear is not knowing whether Yamaha plans to compete in the arena at all...

Thoughts on how to bring our bike to the future? Predictions on if it'll happen at all?

Yamaha is competing in that arena - it's called the MT-07.

The FZ6R was last offered as a 2017 model. It's not in the lineup anymore.
